  will my Mom be in some big trouble?

  it has been 13 years since i flew the coop,so i am not sure what changes or might i say new insight has come about.. here is the problem.

  my mom who has been a witness for 18 years and is 73 years old has lymphoma of the brain.. in order to have a chance at all she is taking chemo and has decided to accept blood platlets.. she is still a loyal j.w.

  and nothing has changed to her.she understands what she is doing but evidently thinks it won't matter.. under these circumstances does anyone know what or if they will take disciplinary action?.

  How much JW doctrine is in harmony with the Bible?

  some have stated that the jw's go too far with their doctrine, but that much of the basic.

  beliefs of the religion are correct.

  i don't want to debate whether the bible is correct.. i just want opinions on how much of the jw doctrine agrees with the actual teachings of .

  So when the bible talks of "rest" does it actually mean "death" to God?

  Lazurus was dead...yet Jesus said he was "resting"....until he translated the two were the same to Him.......people considered them total opposites. And probably thought He was nuts and incorrect in saying Lazuraus was "resting"....yet how could anyone argure with the creator of us AND words?

  Hey you are wrong in our eyes! yet right in yours. What gives>?

  If you recover a thief's booty .are you a thief or a savoir to his victims?

  i think it also shows a good example on how things are subjective.. .

  will the thief appreciate having his possesions he has worked hard to earn, returned to those who fell victim to him and his schemes?

  Exactly right....my Native American forefathers were screwed out of their land like this...when they fought back the only way they knew how....they were regarded as savages and destroyed for protecting their land, future and heritage.....now had they had an attorney or held the most power..they would have been patriots and heros! And the settlers "thieves".

  ya, ya this is joe hoover's playground but....learning about species 8179 can only add more perspective (and ammunition) to combat the warped world of joe hoover.

  Intellectual suppression for power over others...creates dependance upon you and your services.

  That is what it is all about when you get down to it....the very thing the serpent accused God of doing thousands of years ago.

  Is it right or wrong?

  Do parents withhold information and knowledge from their children so they will always be needed and paid by their children....or do they want them to have independance and freedom...so they themselves can rest and enjoy freedom as well?

  As long as the children remain dependent..there is no freedom or rest from responsibility....2 edge sword ladies and gentlemen.....

  Was the serpent right or wrong...or niether>?

  I have no faith in any of their advice..just to set the record straight. Least of all their medical opinions and guesses....

  Perhaps if people asked for explanations and justification behind the orders and rules they are giving and having obeyed unquestioningly..their jobs would become much harder and people must stronger and wiser.

  Think of this......if stupid orders from the top suddenly start getting sent back to the ones giving them for explanations and justification by those footsoldiers who usually carry them out for them without question....how would the brass deal with all the oders coming back at them...could they explain them to a degree that people would willingly obey them..or would they rebel?

  David was not too scared to question His decision at the end of killing thousands of his people for his personal sin and mistake.

  Yet...he was not given an answer or explanation either why his punishment was dealt out that way instead of directed at him personally leaving innocent people out of it.

  Wonder if he will ever get his explanation?

  Any guesses?

  Hope the FDS is wrong....and taking those will not really harm her.....or else everyone elses good natured advice may be a future death sentence for her.

  That would be bad......it is all so confusing sometimes.....right and wrong without seeing into the future is very hard to discern imo.

  What HS.....? Do you think I am wrong?

  Although neither of us can prove anything...we are merely guessing...but who has more experience...wait......we don't even know what the One True defition of the word wicked even is to our Creator..perhaps babies are most wicked in His eyes....and older people are more innocent the more mistakes they make?

  Hell...I don't know for sure...only God does...and I am not God...but it would be nice if He would answer some questions and end the arguing and fighting....but if He did....the person who gave He the answer(s) to would probably be seen by others as God.(just guessing)

  Being as every word in the Bible is open to be defined by anyone as they see fit...and the only competition being others doing the same thing...we can never really know for sure or answer that question correctly..only guess.

  Only the Author of the Bible knows for sure who is closer to doing what He wants...and if He decided to tell someone human..we would not have any way of knowing if he/she was right or not....or just guessing like everyone else and presenting their guesses as facts.

  So we are screwed..and cannot answer that question correctly..all we can do is guess.
